Hail To The Queen

Queen Elizabeth II
(New York, 1976)

Queen Elizabeth II
(New York 2010)

There actually is something quite wonderful about how little, if at all, Her Majesty's look has changed since her last visit to NY in 1976.

Like her look or not, there certainly is something to be said about the Queens commitment to her personal style. This is clearly a woman who knows exactly who she is, what she likes, and is comfortable with that.

In one afternoon, at  the age of 84, Queen Elizabeth II addressed the United Nations, visited Ground Zero and is to open the British Garden in Hanover Square, all in 100+ degree heat, while seemingly never breaking a sweat.

What did you do today?
Hail to the Queen!

I never wear hose in the summer, but where I live the climate is cold during the winter months. When wearing a skirt or dress that requires a nude leg should I wear hose?

Yes, you should wear hose when it it's cold. However, when wearing a nude hose try a textured, neutral hose like natural fishnets, lace or a crocheted look. If you insists on wearing plain nude hose, please splurge on some really sheer, super comfortable luxury hose. And for the love all that is good and holy make sure they match your skin tone!

The Great Gatsby

It is the perfect day for a visit with Nick Carraway on Long Islands North Shore.

Simple Boys

The key to dressing well is to stick with the classics: a great suit, good white shirt, a solid color military inspired casual shirt, and a pair of well fitting jeans that enjoy being paired with your best blazer. (Stay away from white jeans unless you are in Europe or South Beach.)

Note:  If a man becomes a prisoner to trends, he doesn't radiate his own image.
