Just Hangering Around

We have all been there, no matter how careful we are, no matter what the "clear" deodorant or the "stay put" makeup promises, somehow it still manages to get on our clothes.

Well, here is a great tip:
Use the foam from a hanger to rub out the marks. You will be amazed at how well it works and how simple it is since you probably have a foam covered hanger laying around. If you have one you got from the dry cleaner it's even better because there is probably a trace of dry cleaning solution in the foam.

Judge a Bookshop by Its Cover

One of the most amazing bookshops to experience in Paris, is the famed Shakespeare & Company Bookshop. The binding, the smell, and most definitely the people, culminate in an enchanting stroll through history, romance, comedy and tragedy. When you are not in Paris, be sure to check out our own New York City's sister store on Broadway.

Dear Mr. Ford,

We recommend viewing THE WORLD OF TOM FORD on his official website.

Taking the Center Court

The big mistake with court appearances made by celebrities is their need to still be trendy. Court does not look for trendy, but rather simple, and dare I say, honest.

In Lindsay Lohan's recent court appearance for violating parole, she wore a plunging neck line with bullet embellishment.  Sure, the color of the suit suggests pure and clean, However, the 1980's studded belt detail is reminiscent of an Alabama shooting range. Let's not forget her manicure that "artistically" incorporated the F-word for the world to see.

Do you see what is wrong with all of this?

The frequently searched site for representing yourself in court, Law Professor, states,"In addition to the clothes you wear, how you act can also make an impression in court. Always stand up straight when talking to the judge and look him or her directly in the eye. Lack of eye contact is often an indicator as to whether or not you are lying under oath. Speak loudly so that the judge can hear you."
