Tools and Tips of the Trade

A LITTLE TO MUCH WIGGLE ROOM.

Do you have a little too much room in the toe box of your shoes?

Here is a great tip:
Ballet dancers pad the tip of their dance shoes with Lambs wool.  It is soft, keeps your feet from wiggligleing around and is relatively inexpensive at about $7.00

Capezio even makes a perfectly shaped lambswool toe pads that you can simply slip into the toe of your shoe.

At 45 years old, I feel like a tart in five-inch stilettos or wedges, but like an old lady in kitten heels. What is the right height for my age?

There does comes a time is every women’s life when super-high shoes may be a bit much. However, at 45 there is no need to turn them in. you can still wear the sky-high heels that are so on trend, provided you are in good shape, and can glide gracefully and effortlessly thru the room in them. Nothing says time to hang up the heels like hobbling. We would suggest that once you hit your 50's it may be time to lower your heel height or at the very least the type of heel you are wearing. Ditch the trends and stick with the classics.

Sting Like a Bee

Today Sting releases Symphonicities a re-visited and re-vamp collection of songs, done in a symphonic version. It includes his solo hits and tracks with The Police including "Roxanne" and "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic."

This seems to be a trend, artists embracing orchestral arrangements for their albums and live concert performances.

The album coincides with his upcoming Orchestral Tour this month and beyond.

Due to downsizing I find myself back in the job market.  I have a few interviews lined up and was wondering if a white dress shirt is the only appropriate option for a man?

Indeed, you should keep your interview shirts on the plain side. You want the interviewer focused on you, not your shirt. This doesn't mean that a white is your only option.
Simply put, just stay away from bold colors, try a light blue, pale yellow, lavender, or a mint green all of which are perfectly acceptable and would look great.  Keep the shirts patterns subdue, subtle and on the minimal side. And for the love of God make sure that you have a shirt and tie combination that complement one another as well as your personality.
