Hot Seat

Jehs and Laub Lounge, Wire Base – Leather

A great place to rest a weary bottom. The newest chair by one of my favorite modern home stores,  DESIGN WITHIN REACH. They call it the Jehs and Laub Lounge, and is designed by Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub for Knoll®. A comfortable, sturdy, seat fit for the Hollywood character in all of us!

A Wonderful Costume Change?

Bestselling artist and DC Comics Co-Publisher Jim Lee has redesigned Wonder Woman's costume for the upcoming issues of the spinning super heroin's new series of comic books and possible animated series.

The DC Comic camp claims that Wonder Woman needed a more updated style that reflects our current world. Going to show you that even a "Wonder Woman" should update her look every now and then to keep herself looking stylish and current.

Day Dreaming of The Delano,

Every so often, I think of the Delano Hotel, in South Beach. It doesn't have to be a cold winter day in New York to find this warm mental escape. Today, it is a muggy August day on 64th Street and Central Park West. I am wearing my favorite linen suit and carrying a full garment bag (which feels more like I am wearing a  snow suit and lugging cinder blocks on a hanger) on my way to visit a client.  For some reason, I catch my self thinking of the air that surrounds The Delano.  It is this amazing twist of fine champagne and a baby's laugh.

I remember the first time a friend recommended I visit the palace, and my first reaction was, "How great can it really be?"...Later that night, I ate those words while sipping a great cocktail in the minimally decorated lobby, that managed to maintain a quirky antique shop vibe, while still feeling like a regal Roman mansion.

If you don't want to stay the night, at the very least, the next time you find yourself in South Beach stop in for a drink.
